Apple has been said to have issued a solution for a problem related to Apple Intelligence that impacted its latest smartphones, such as the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. This problem had reportedly stopped users from using Apple's newest AI features, which are important to the iOS 26 experience. As per various sources, the issue was first brought to attention by users on the Apple Intelligence community not long after the recent iPhones were launched worldwide, including in India, following their official release on September 9. According to MacRumors writer Aaron Perris, the technology company based in Cupertino has quietly implemented a new update that enables affected users to access some Apple Intelligence features again. Earlier, a glitch had been hindering some users of the iPhone 17 series and Air model from getting Apple Intelligence on their new devices, leading to key features like Genmoji, Image Playground, and Writing Tools not being available.

Although the problem seemingly affected a limited number of users, two individuals who faced the issue mentioned that Apple's customer support was aware of the situation and intended to release a quick resolution. The server-side update is now being processed automatically. Since Apple has not publicly commented on the bug yet, its cause is still unknown. iPhone users can check Apple Intelligence on their device by opening the Settings app and selecting the Apple Intelligence option. Some users who faced challenges with Apple Intelligence on the iPhone 17 were reportedly able to fix the problem by adjusting certain settings on their phones. Successful solutions included turning off cellular data and using a Wi-Fi network, changing the iPhone language and then switching it back. More extreme actions like erasing the device and restoring from an iCloud backup, toggling Airplane mode on and off, altering the region settings, and resetting network settings, along with resetting all settings, could also potentially help correct the issue.

Earlier, Apple mentioned that it would provide a software update to resolve a problem with the camera on the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro, which was identified by CNN Underscored's Henry Casey during his review of the iPhone Air. This problem caused dark boxes to show up in photos, affecting about one out of every ten images. Apple reportedly informed Casey that the issue happens only in rare situations when an extremely bright LED screen is aimed directly at the camera.
