Deputies have arrested the parents for sexual abuse of their six-month-old girl in North Carolina, who is in severe condition at a Charlotte hospital.
According to investigators on March 24th the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office was requested to visit the Carolinas Medical Center to investigate what doctors believed to be a case of child abuse.
After speaking to doctors, Sheriff’s deputies obtained a warrant for a home in Shelby.
Authorities then arrested the infant’s parents, 34 year-old Steven Dean, and mother 34 year-old Morgan Conn.
The parents have been charged with felony child abuse and placed under a 150,000 dollar bond.
The child is recovering from her injuries in the hospital; details about the injuries have not been released.
Other children of the accused parents have been placed in the custody of the Department of Social Services.
