As the mercury level skyrockets, it's imperative that you stay hydrated all the time. As a rule of thumb, one needs to chug down a minimum of eight glasses of water in a day. While that might not be possible all the time, what you can do to replenish the lost water in your body is chow down on fruits and veggies tat are hugely hydrating, delicious and easy to eat. Well, if you are someone like me who finds it difficult to guzzle down bottles and bottles of water, here's what you can eat to stay cool and hydrated this summertime. Check out your options here:
Cucumber
Cucumber is a perennial summer favorite. Rich in water, vitamin C and caffeic acid, munching on a cup of cucumber slices is equivalent to drinking a glass of water. Plus, it nourishes the body with fiber too. Pickle, soup or sandwich, eat it whichever way you like.
Strawberries
Another summer favorite, strawberries are your answer to meeting your daily water requirement. This lip-smacking fruit is a storehouse of water, besides all the vitamins, that replenishes your dry body. Go for it.
Watermelon
Just like the name suggests, watermelons are all about water, color and taste, all rolled up into a massive sized fruit. Enjoy a fresh wedge of watermelon everyday to furnish your body with vitamin C, antioxidants and loads of water.
Yogurt
Load up your dessert bowls with fresh yogurt for a dash of taste and health. Besides loading up on calcium and probiotics, yogurt is a great way to ensure that you stay cool and hydreated in sweltering summertime.
