With the sudden rise in the number of coronavirus cases in India, New Zealand imposed fresh travel restrictions on the flights from India to New Zealand. The country suspended the entry of travelers from India including the citizens of New Zealand. The suspension will be implemented from April 28th told New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden in a press conference in Wellington. The number of daily coronavirus cases in India crossed 1 lakh mark recently and New Zealand reported 23 new cases at the border yesterday out which 17 persons are from India. After reviewing the situation, New Zealand imposed a ban of Indian travelers to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

New Zealand got a good hold on the control of the coronavirus cases in the country after a series of lockdowns. There are talks that several other countries will ban flights and travelers from India as the spread is huge currently. India has air bubble arrangements with 27 countries of the globe including USA, UK, Germany, France, Russia, Japan, UAE and Qatar. New Zealand said that the cases of coronavirus are increasing because of the Indian travelers. Several other countries reported such situations and we have to wait to see if they would head for a ban. Last week, United Kingdom announced traffic light system for international travel.
