An Indian-origin software professional in the United States has found dead in North Carolina waterfall after drowning on Monday, according to his acquaintances as informed to his family in India.

The 32-year-old Gogineni Nagarjuna from Nandigama, Andhra Pradesh, visited a waterfall at North Carolina accompanied by his friends and was reportedly stumbled and drowned. Rescue force recovered his dead body after 30 minutes.

Nagarjuna has been settled in the U.S. since 2008. He is the son of the late Gogineni Venkata Rao, who served as Telugu Desam Party leader. He has three siblings. The body will be brought to abode on Wednesday after completion of formalities.

According to Nagarjuna's relative Venkateswara Rao, as the last son, Nagarjuna was best-loved of his mother Lakshmi. He used to visit India on a regular basis during the vacations.

Nandigama Member of Legislature Tangirala Soumya visited Nagarjuna's house to console his mother and else family members. She acknowledged Nagarjuna's father Venkata Rao's services to the political party.
