On Wednesday, Samsung unveiled its new Smart Monitor M9, which features the company’s QD-LED technology along with a refresh rate of 165Hz and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. This innovative smart monitor is designed with AI-powered capabilities and is promised to receive operating system updates for up to seven years. The South Korean tech giant also updated its Smart Monitor M8 and M7 models, which come with 32-inch 4K Ultra HD displays and similar AI functionalities. However, the pricing information for the new Smart Monitor M9, Smart Monitor M8, and Smart Monitor M7 has not yet been disclosed. Samsung indicated that these models will be available globally with a 32-inch display starting in June, but specifics regarding which models will launch in India remain unclear.

All three newly launched Smart Monitor models come with 32-inch 4K displays, but the M9 model distinguishes itself with a QD-LED panel offering a 165Hz refresh rate and an impressive response time of 0.03 milliseconds. According to the company, this model holds a Pantone Validated certification and incorporates Samsung's OLED Safeguard+ cooling mechanism, which aims to minimize the risk of screen burn-in. The Smart Monitor M9 is also equipped with three artificial intelligence features: 4K AI Upscaling Pro, AI Picture Optimiser, and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) Pro. Samsung claims that these features enhance audio and video quality by adapting to the user's environment and the content being viewed. In contrast, the Smart Monitor M8 and M7 utilize vertical alignment (VA) panels, both offering a 32-inch 4K display and operating on Samsung’s Tizen OS.

All three monitors are expected to receive seven years of updates for One UI Tizen. In supported regions, users will benefit from the Click to Search feature, enabling them to find information related to their displayed content. Furthermore, users can utilize Microsoft 365 applications directly on the monitor without needing a computer connection, and they support Multi Control capabilities for Multi View when paired with other Samsung devices.
