The Ace 5 series from OnePlus will soon have two additional models added to its lineup. Originally introduced in China in December 2024, the series currently features the standard OnePlus Ace 5 and the Ace 5 Pro. They are now set to be complemented by two new devices: the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition and the Ace 5 Ultra. The company has recently provided hints about their impending release and has disclosed information regarding their processors. The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition is positioned to be among the first devices featuring the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor. In a post on Weibo, OnePlus announced that both the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition and the OnePlus Ace 5 "Extreme Edition" are expected to launch in China sometime next week, specifically between May 19 and May 25. The company is anticipated to reveal the precise launch date shortly.

The OnePlus Ace 5 "Extreme Edition" is likely to be branded as the "Ultra" in English markets. It has been confirmed to utilize a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ system-on-chip, which is teased to redefine the benchmark for gaming experiences in the industry. On the other hand, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will come with the newly introduced 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset, making it one of the initial smartphones to incorporate this chip, alongside the Indian variant of the Realme GT 7, set to debut in India on May 27. The forthcoming OnePlus device is expected to be priced below CNY 2,500 (approximately Rs. 29,700).

Currently, pre-reservations for the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition and the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra models are available in China through the Oppo China e-store and selected online retailers. Both devices are confirmed to operate on Android 15 with ColorOS 15 right out of the box. Importantly, the already available OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro models are equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Edition chipset, respectively.
