The Redmi A5 has just been introduced in Indonesia, featuring an octa-core Unisoc T7250 processor and a substantial 5,200mAh battery. This smartphone is poised to launch in India soon. In conjunction with the announcement of its Indian debut date, the brand has disclosed details regarding its design, color choices, and several important features. The specifics about the phone's availability have also been confirmed. Interestingly, the Poco C71, which was presented earlier this month, seems to offer comparable functionalities to the Redmi A5. The official landing page indicates that the Redmi A5 will be available in India starting April 15 at 12 PM IST. A promotional banner on Flipkart states that the device can be purchased through this e-commerce site as well as the Xiaomi India e-store.

According to the banner's tagline, the Redmi A5 is characterized by a "Royal Design." The teaser images displayed on the landing page showcase that the Indian version will closely resemble its global edition. It will be available in three colors: Jaisalmer Gold, Just Black, and Pondicherry Blue. The official landing page also mentions that the device will feature a 120Hz display along with TÜV Rheinland certification for eye comfort. Like its global variant, it will include a 5,200mAh battery. The small print on the website hints that the smartphone's price will be below Rs. 10,000 in India.

In Indonesia, the pricing for the Redmi A5 is set at IDR 11,99,000 (approximately Rs. 6,100) for the model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. Comparatively, the Poco C71, which has similar specifications, is offered at Rs. 6,499 for the 4GB + 64GB version and Rs. 7,499 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The global iteration of the Redmi A5 operates on a Unisoc T7250 chipset, combined with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. It runs Android 15 Go Edition and features a 6.88-inch HD+ display. In terms of photography, it includes a dual rear camera setup with a 32-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
