College in Aishwarya's name

Bollywood’s ever green actor and Big B, Amitabh Bachchan has said that a college on his daughter-in-law’s name would soon be constructed by Amitabh Bachchan Sewa Sansthan in Uttar Pradesh. The proposed project was earlier handed over to Jaya Prada’s Nishtha Foundation and it’s now being transferred to Sewa Sansthan that was set up by the villagers of Daulatpur, where the college will come to existence.

The village head Rishikesh Yadav has said that Amitabh Bachchan has given a cheque worth five lakh rupees towards Sansthan for setting up the college. It has to be mentioned here that an intermediate college would be started first, which would later be upgraded to degree college.

The sources said that the college work was assigned to Nishtha Foundation three years ago, but the construction work was not started and hence the work was being transferred to Sewa Sansthan.

Daulatpur is a small village in Uttar Pradesh where there is no access to quality education. The proposed college in Aishwarya’s name would not only throw light at Bachchan’s family for good activities, but will really benefit the village. India would no longer remain as a developing country if celebrities voluntarily build schools in villages. (Phani)
